Through cost-effective purchasing and in-house production, Bufab is the European leader for fasteners and small parts for customers with stringent demands in a variety of industries. The goal is to become a significant player in the global market, too.

Bufab is a wholesaler that not only supplies different types of fasteners but also manufactures them. The range encompasses more than 100,000 different products. Bufab currently employs 750 people in 25 countries.

Bufab’s production company has used Jeeves for almost 10 years, but not until March 2009 did they start using Jeeves’s accounting components, and that was in the wholesale operations. Today, Jeeves Universal is used in 22 of its 33 companies, and plans to implement the ERP-system in more companies as the organization grows. Bufab feels completely safe with Jeeves in this process. A major advantage of Jeeves is that the system is easy to adapt to changes in business needs and processes.

Bufab wants to provide efficient logistics solutions for its customers and interact with them via its ERP system, the aim being to cut indirect costs. Bufab’s processes are controlled through Jeeves and include integration with customer billing, scanning of invoices from suppliers, payment flows, internal and statutory reports, accounting, and other tasks.

Integrated for heightened efficiency
Bufab used to use a number of proprietary accounting systems that, for the most part, were not integrated with the rest of the ERP system. To boost efficiency between the companies and within the group, Bufab started looking for a common accounting and ERP system for all its wholesaling operations. Several fellow subsidiaries in other businesses were already using Jeeves, so the choice was relatively easy.
