Market

Flexibility is key in a demanding market

An importent part of companies’ business operations

An ERP system is the IT system that an enterprise or organization uses to run, manage, and follow up on its business. The system can handle inventory management, purchasing, production, sales, payments and receipts, and human resources tasks. In other words, an ERP system is an extremely important part of a company’s total operation. The market for ERP systems comprises:

  • sales of licenses and software maintenance
  • installation, adaptation, and continuous development
  • training and support, and
  • hardware.

The market is generally divided into three segments:

  • small enterprises (5–50 employees),
  • medium-sized enterprises and groups
    and large subsidiaries (50–1,000 employees)
  • large enterprises (>1,000 employees).

Jeeves’ sales focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (employing 5–1,000 people), the SME segment, but the Company also sells systems to larger companies. Jeeves’ offering is aimed chiefly at companies in wholesale/retail, manufacturing, and services.

Broad based and specialized competitors

Jeeves competes with multiple actors – large and small – in the global market. Many of the major actors have a broad based offer that satisfies the majority of an enterprise’s functional areas. These major actors include SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Lawson, and others.

Still other competitors concentrate mainly on specific functional areas, such as customer relationship management (CRM) or supply chain management (SCM). As an international ERP system supplier, Jeeves often competes with Microsoft and SAP in procurement together with local actors.
