JEEVES SHOP FLOOR CONTROL – HOW?

Jeeves’ Dispatch List is at the core of the production process, and it is updated continuously by the ERP system. The production operatives can see which orders are to be run in their production group, and in which order. The dispatch list clearly indicates when an order cannot be started, e.g. due to a lack of material or because the previous operation has not been completed. The dispatch list provides an overview and a basis for decision-making for the production and flow groups. It indicates to the operator when it is necessary to reschedule the production.

Reporting (start, sub-reporting, completion, interruption, etc.) can also be done from the dispatch list or by scanning barcodes; thereby enabling fast, simple and reliable management information. When the program starts, it retrieves the dispatch list at the point the user had reached when the program was last shut down. Everything is geared toward making the operator’s job easy.

The dispatch list activates the Operation Card, which identifies the individual operations. The Operation Card contains information about drawings and the current version. Information about the tools to be used and the storage location where they are kept is also presented. The system provides statistics such as scrap and utilization statistics for the various production groups, as well as breakdowns for setup, production and down time at the team, individual, order and item levels. This provides a basis for identifying areas in the production where there is a need for improvement.
